The home page is While there's nothing wrong with VIM, there's also nothing wrong with Elvis. I use Elvis (version 2.x) on top of bash all the time. What version of Elvis are you using? If it's still 1.x, I suggest you go to: ftp://ftp.cs.pdx.edu/pub/elvis/unreleased and get the DOS executable package for the current Elvis beta (last I noticed it was 2.1i). I use 2.1i on several platforms, daily, and find it to be stable (for my uses, at least).
