If you type "M-x undo" and emacs says that : there is a key combination already defined for that, you can take it as a : helpful hint from emacs. Emacs is suggesting that there's an easier way. : : If it really beeps, though...that's odd. Well, it's actually the PC speaker that does the beeping, but as it always happens when I press C-_ I think it's on Emacs' command. Of course I tried pressing C-_.
