The first thing is to confirm that Display Doctor does indeed correct
the problem, ie. that it is a VESA driver bug. If this is the case,
complaining to the manufacturers _might_ be of some use, but judging
from past experience this is very unlikely :-) Alternatively you could
write a better driver of your own, perhaps as part of the FreeBE/AF
project (see my website).
