I had alot of problems with the examples too. Here's some of the things I learned cause I went throught this too; having c++ installed correctly helps, use dmake (ld won't work right), according to the scitech.mgl newsgroup the VGA drivers for DJGPP don't work. I got the Opengl examples to compile with the last version of gcc, 2.7.something. MVIS works, Foxbear doesn't compile, nor does gears.c. Did any one get Foxbear to compile? I did compile it with bcc50 but this is the wrong newsgroup to talk about that program! oh yeah, my machine would hang too on start up with a file creation error, if I rember right it's the shell = command.com /E:2048 or something like that line.
