Insteed of using ramdrive.sys (16 bit) try a Win 95 vdx equivilent. I have been using it for the past 2 days without a hickup. Once installed there is a control pannel applet that is used to tell the utility what directorys to cache in the "ramdisk". I added the djgpp root directory and the directory for my object files. I recommend that you do not cache the source file directory and use a sperate directory for object files, just incase you have a crash. I noticed that on the first re compile that there is hard drive activity (less than normal) but on the second none, except when the *.exe was written to disk. The author is askink for $10.00US for his efforts, IMHO well worh it. You can get this from: http://www.sysopt.com/pub/vram107r.zip
