Several people have reported such problems. I don't have access to a system where this happens (my Windows 95 and DOS 7.0, as well as prior versions of DOS, are unable to reproduce this), so I need help from people who do see this to debug and correct this. I cannot fix a problem which I cannot reproduce and investigate. So if this problem annoys you enough, please help me debug it. The first step would be to download the sources of the latest Make ported to DJGPP (v3.76.1), compile it with -g and describe what exactly happens inside Make and what time stamps are recorded by the filesystem for the files which Make probes.
