I hope you meant set DJGPP=C:\GPP\DJGPP.ENV!

Do you have the following line somewhere in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file?
set DJGPP=C:\GPP\DJGPP.ENV

If so there should be no need to change the DJDIR line in DJGPP.ENV!

Do you also have an [cpp] section in your DJGPP.ENV file.
It should be there by default. This section contains the environment
variables needed by cpp.exe to preprocess your source code, i.e.
locate  your include files.

Unfortunately I have no experience with DJGPP under Win95 nor WinNT.
