that is very interesting. and as an american, you _absolutely_have_to_
be there, right? and, of course, what priorities gain prominence in
which parts of the world also have nothing to do with 'american
interests'. as a turk, i understand what frustrations living in my
country may entail. but just as it would be meaningless for me to
complain about what frustrations are involved in living in the united
states on comp.os.msdos.djgpp, it is meaningless and offensive for you
to do that here.

i am not under the illusion that what i enjoy here are available there.
but, IIRC, metu and bilkent used to mirror the djgpp v.1 distribution. i
don't know what happened since then, but i just checked and found that
none of those places are listed as authorized mirrors at www.simtel.net.
maybe you can contact metu-cc and ask them what, if anything, they are
doing about mirroring djgpp v2. maybe by being pro-active, you will
benefit all of us little, under-developed people.
