For the `getmntent' problems, please download the patched mntent.o (or the
entire patched libc.a) from Tom Demmer's site.  The stock version of
`getmntent' in the v2.01 library had several problems specific to NT.

I don't know anything about mode 13 on NT, but your problem with it might
stem from the fact that NT doesn't like to allow applications to access 
hardware via ports.
