The DJGPP variable can have either style of slashes, and should work with both. It does for me. If your installation doesn't work with backslashes, it is somehow screwed up. I suggest you find out why (post the details here, if you can't figure out). One cause of this is that you have messed up your DJGPP.ENV file by editing it. In any case, the REAL reason for the problems that the original poster has is NOT the case of the slashes.
