People who work on improving DJGPP get the highest priority here. But I do think you exaggerate the difficulties in rebuilding Binutils. If you follow instructions written by Robert, they should build right out of the box. There is always a potential for some glitches (due to slightly different system setups of each one of us), but they are easily identified when they happen.
