You mean there are situations where it would work without wrestling? I must say I'm very glad I subscribed to the newsgroup, though - with your help it was a breeze ;-) > This is normal: the propagation delays of the news servers can be as much > as several days, depending on where do you live. I've never experienced such a long delay - I *still* haven't seen your postings in the newsgroup. Are you sure there is no problem with the gateway? I don't know if it adds any headers, but I haven't found a single posting in the newsgroup (I checked the last 50 or so I got) that had headers indicating it originated from a mailing list. OK, the whole makeall.bat runs fine now after making the alterations you suggested (and a few similar ones). I've created the libc reference in HTML (on my Linux box, using texi2html). I've zip'ed it up and made it available for download on my web page; the zip file is about 142 kB, the unzipped HTML file about 660 kB. The URL is: http://www.xs4all.nl/~gklein/index.html. If anyone wants to (and can) copy it to the main djgpp page, be my guest. (Oh, and I've also got a function using int 0x25 to read disk sectors working now - using _dpmi_int, as you suggested). I'll be searching for the bugs page soon, so I can get rid of the known bugs in the library. Thanks for your help (you too, Nate), Gertjan. -- Gertjan Klein The Boot Control home page: http://www.xs4all.nl/~gklein/bcpage.html
