I suspect the message you kept getting was from some Germany-based machine which told you that your messages posted to this group couldn't be delivered (I got such messages also, only I've read it). So you were actually asking (politely) some machine to switch to English. I suggest next time to look around for somebody who can explain you what the message says, before you decide how to react.
