UUencoding them * Makes them binary and thus off-charter * Makes them bigger so they waste more bandwidth and * Makes them unreadable to half the newsgroup readers that might otherwise be able to help you with your problem (namely anyone that doesn't use fancy Netscrap or Internet Exploder alikes to read news, including me). In future please post text files like autoexec.bat as TEXT. If your Micro$uck or Netscrap mailer/newsreader turns anything you attach into binary, either use cut and paste or get a REAL newsreader/mailreader ;-) -- .*.
