TeX usually prints out some record of what it was doing and posting that might make it easier to help. There could be several problems but the most likely one is that kpathsea (kpathsearch on Unix) which searches the directories/files need a database of locations. This can be generated by maketexl (maketexls on Unix) So run the maketexl (both script and binaries are bundled) and then see if tex finds the required metafont sources, assuming that they exist on your drive. I have assumed that all this is done on DOS hence 8 letter limit I hope this helps. Gurunandan
