Amazingly enough, GNU Sed has no docs.

Your best bet is to read its man page on the nearest Unix box.  Or
ask here, if you have specific questions.

I have somewhere a draft Texinfo docs that somebody wrote.  It is 
incomplete, but I can dig it out, if you want it.
