Probably so, but that would be the worst possible thing to do; it would
only encourage people not to read the instructions.  Every user is sent
an email the first time he/she subscribes to the djgpp mailing list, and
is sent a monthly auto-verify message.  Both of these contain
instructions for unsubscribing.  There is NO excuse for not
understanding this, unless one cannot read English!

P.S.:  Don't take me wrong here; I realize that for many people, English
is not the native language.  However, it's usually easier to read a
foreign language than to write it, and they are at least fluent enough
to send an "unsubscribe" message.

P.P.S.:  I wouldn't mind if the mail->news gateway blocked them from
being posted on the newsgroup, even if they weren't acted on... that way
we wouldn't get all these useless threads.  :)
