The name and use of the tool varies with different compilers and operating systems. On the PC, for example, Microsoft compilers come with a library tool named lib. Borland compilers come with tlib. Consult the documentation for your compiler for the name of the tool and how to invoke it to do what you want, and/or post this question to a newsgroup which deals specifically with your platform or compiler.
