I can shut him off the mailing list (I've already blocked the "numer 1
compiler" thread), but I can't control the newsgroup.

I do agree that the topic has gotten *way* out of hand, and it's no
longer an intelligent conversation, but an all-out flame war.  Please
stop!  If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Herman, if you're out there, please stop using profanity on the DJGPP
news group.  Either you like djgpp, in which case you shouldn't be
causing unneeded friction in the djgpp newsgroup, or you don't like
djgpp, and you should stop reading the djgpp newsgroup.  In either
case, your posts are making it difficult for others to get the
information they need without being insulted, and your inability to
state your opinions without resorting to profanity and name-calling
only serves to make you look stupid and immature.  You should at least
have the courage to provide an honest e-mail address.

Everyone has the right to their opinion, but nobody has the right to
hurt others with it.
