I actually did it to test if I could get a display out of the secondary display adaptor (the Hercules card). I did it by going into the BIOS and selecting "Display Type: Mono". My BIOS gives me a choice of "EGA/VGA","Mono","CGA". I have a fairly new IBM 6x86 P200+ processor, and am pretty sure have the latest version of the American Megatrends BIOS. > > However, when I try to debug in RHIDE under MSDOS 6.22 or > > Windows 95 DOS, the computer resets itself. (if yest, please do not so). No, I can't start Windows 95 using the Mono Monitor. It doesn't support hercules graphics anymore. > > Now, I'm wondering, has anyone else had these problems with RHIDE ? > I had never problems with it. > > One thing which I can imagine is, that you have epxlicitely included > the B000-B7FF memory range in the emm386 line in your config.sys > file. Thanks for your help Robert, I'd already followed up to my post with what I'd done wrong. I also suggested that it might be a good idea to put a short passage in the RHIDE help, under the section "Dual Monitor Debugging", about that EMM386 error. Cheers, Graham.
