What do I need and where can I get it? and does anyone know of any tutrials on the subject? thank you. gratefully, Jeff ion; everyone has a religious opinion on it, which they will argue to the death (with incorrect information, if need be) and never give up on. I would like to emphasize one point: -There is no such thing as the universally best compiler.- Some might prefer MSVC for Reason Foo, others DJGPP for Reason Bar, others Watcom for Reason Xyzzy. There is no One True Compiler that will do everything that everyone wants, and no optimizer is perfect. Use what works for you and leave others their otherness, please. Or, can I suggest 'newgroup alt.flame.my.compiler.is.better.than.yours' if you insist on continuing this pointlessness? Jeez, I haven't seen so much flamage and name-calling since Mr. Nudds was around. -- [- firewind -] [- email: firewind AT metroid DOT dyn DOT ml DOT org (home), firewind AT aurdev DOT com (work) -] [- "You're just jealous because the voices talk to -me-." -]
