I've heard that there are at least two possibilities for writing programs for Windows using free development software. They GNU-software and a package for DJGPP called RSXWDK. I've downloaded and extracted the package and installed it propably (I think). BTW - I'm programming using DJGPP. I've got the -win parameter to work but when I try to compile the WHELLO sample included in the package in RSXWDK using the command GCC -win -o whello.w32 whello.cpp it complains that it cannot find the "windows.h". And I've installed the program according to the instructions in the helpfile included in the package, so I just can't see, what's wrong. BTW - is it right that I have to obtain an other "windows.h" and/or other header file from other compiler programs??! Please help me!!! You can refer to FAQ's or you can explain it - I don't care. Just as long as I get it explained before I panic!! Thanks again very much!!! //GAR - Gustav Andreas Roder//
