Here only some additional information for that
problem, because Brett posted me the bugreport from
RHIDE so it might help the others to have a hint about
the problem (I haven't any clue except that it may be
related to MS-DOS 7.10)

This is a bug report for RHIDE Version 1.3b (Aug 21 1997 21:16:04)
