Hi, there, and I'd like to express my agreement that less is a great tool for reading documents of all kinds. One nice shortcut that I really enjoy in DJGPP less: after typing a slash and pattern and then pressing enter as you describe, I can simply press 'n' to move to the next occurrence, or 'N' to move back to the previous occurrence.
