And pissed-off people aren't generally as helpful as they would be if asked reasonably politely. The answers to the questions you asked *are* all in the FAQ. I suggest you take a deep breath, calm down and read it again. And remember, djgpp is a real C compiler, NOT a Turbo C clone ( *all* the functions you mentioned are non-standard functions from Turbo C or Quick C or similar 16-bit trash.) Here are some pointers to help you along: _fmemcpy etc is explained in section 17: Converting DOS Programs/Libraries to DJGPP . The hardware interrupt vector stuff is discussed in section 18: Low-level DOS/BIOS and Hardware-oriented Programming. Examples of how to implement this stuff abound: visit http://www.rt66.com/~brennan/djgpp/ for pointers to sites with tutorials and source code of interest, arranged according to topic. Online help is available for almost all functions, using info: at the command prompt type "info libc alphabetical " to get online help and an example using the function in question. If you have problems porting old DOS code, post a *short* message to this newsgroup (sans expletives) stating *specifically* what the problem is, and please remember that *everybody* on this list, without exception, is offering *free* advice, on his/her own time. This is not tech support. This is mutual self-support. -- ------------ Elliott Oti --------------- ------------- http://www.fys.ruu.nl/~oti ---------
