DJGPP is a freeware(*) MS-DOS port of the GNU C/C++ compiler and
development environment.  Obtaining it is as simple as downloading it
off of the Internet, but you don't want to get every single package
available!  DJGPP is broken up into pieces so that you can download only
what you need.

(*) By freeware, I mean that there is no charge for obtaining or using
the DJGPP software, and any programs you write with it are yours to do
with as you please (with a few exceptions; see chapter 19 of the FAQ). 
DJGPP itself may also be redistributed under certain terms (again, see
chapter 19).  This does not mean that a price may not be charged for the
distribution media; if you really want a copy of DJGPP on floppy disks
or CD-ROM, you can order it from DJ Delorie or the Free Software
Foundation.  But it's easier to get it from the Net.
