With Borland C5 you don't have 32 bits under ms-dos (without addons) and that restricts a lot of things for programming games. Only DJGPP supports Allegro, which in my opinion is THE BEST EVER GAMING LIBRARY. There's a lot of people who help each other in this newsgroup. Some people say things under DJGPP are easily ported to other machines, but I don't know about that . - G.A.
