I post this even if I cannot reproduce it. I started a project with 3 files from an old Linux ditribution: cal.c, getopt.c, err.c, if matters. Compiling them I had the following error: Error: e:/djgpp/bin\ld.exe: cannot open output file ../../../../../../stdlib.h no such file or dir [my note says 'dir', it is probably a contraction of mine] After this error and getopt.c was deleted. I recopied from linux distribution, and then recompiled. Same error, and err.c was deleted! I cannot remember what I done at this point. I *probably* went out of rhide and deleted the project, and rebuilded it. The third time it compiled correctly without any kind of problem. The project, the files were in the same directory. No problem was found by scandisk in the meanwhile. I think that this is meaningless, UNLESS some other user experienced something similar. Bye Stefano
