It's certainly true that questions about collision detection and texture mapping algorithms are not appropriate for this group, and do belong in rec.games.programmer. But there are many topics that are specific to djgpp, or at least to protected mode DOS, that don't really belong in rec.games.programmer, and yet aren't quite focused enough to be right for this group either.
