Do you really think I don't RTFM? Never mind, THAT'S a stupid question. I DIDN'T use the OpenDOS dpmi service, nor did I load their "dpms" interface, but I have now tried it and without Emm386 for three DOS flavors: OpenDOS, PC DOS (6.2) and MS DOS (6.2x). PC and MS DOS worked fine, but OpenDOS crashed repeatedly after two or three loads of, as far as I can tell, ANY dpmi server -- I've tried a good double handfull be now. I was really rooting for the OpenDOS project, but unfortunately there appears to be a significant compatability problem in the kernel itself, and most likely also in their emm386. Does anyone know if their coming source release will cover the kernel only, or include service executables? -- "... Oh, what a Tangled Web ..." Owen LaGarde lagarde AT walt DOT cs DOT msstate DOT edu
