Date: Sat, 19 Apr 1997 02:14:26 -0400 (EDT) Message-Id: <1.5.4.16.19970418131708.0adf6e44@mail.interlog.com> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" To: djgpp AT delorie DOT com From: jackelope Subject: djgpp (gcc.exe) Precedence: bulk hey! first of all if you are reading this, id like to thank you. know that your efforts *are* appreciated. second, im having a problem. when i run gcc -v myfirst.cc -o myfirst.exe from the dos prompt, i get a whole bunch of stuff on the screen, and theres a line that seems to say something to the effect of (searching d:\djgpp\lang\cxx for iostream.h) but it doesnt seem to find it and when the compiler gets to a statement in myfirst.cc like cout << "hello\n"; it returns some message saying 'cout is an unrecognized class' or whatever. i should mention: 1. i have included the line: set djgpp=d:\djgpp\djgpp.env to my autoexec.bat file 2. i have not modified my d:\djgpp\djgpp.env file i didnt find this problem documented anywhere, so im sorry if it was. anyways, if you have the time id really appreciate a response (im lost!!) mail: fenney AT interlog DOT com thanx...:) ps: if i like djgpp where can i send a donation?
