Oh, yes.  pine, mh, Netscape and MSIE, PMDF ... noncompliant user agents are
starting to look like rarities.  I think Eudora does MIME now too.

A waste of bandwidth, not because of MIME but because some bletcherous UAs
insist on sending the same message in several formats.

Yup.  Most MIME-compliant UAs will wait for you to ask for the attachments.
