Or is there another file I should change? I got the 'elisp-ma.gz' file containing the gnu emacs lisp info files last night. Then I made a posting asking how to untar it and got plenty of answers. It unpacked easily with the command 'djtar -x elisp-ma.gz'. Thanks for the help! A bunch of files that were shot out looked like info files: 'elisp' and 'elisp-N' for N from 1 to 20 (or so). I copied them to '/djgpp/info'. Now I can access them with 'info --file elisp'. Works great. But if I just enter 'info' I can't get to them. Should I run makeinfo to fix it, or is there a function in emacs for it, or something else? Thanks again :) "May the Schwartz be with you." --Rick
