I'm making a ray casted game sorta like wolf3d, but relax. It's gonna be alot more involved than just walking around shooting people. However, I have come across some major hangups... Could someone please further explain how to make menus with Allegro (for the level editor) and maybe provide some example code? :) Another hangup was, the 2 books that I bought on game programming showed me how to make the ray caster engine and stuff, but left me "on my own" to figure out how to add sprites to the world...and experienced (or not experienced) people know how to do this? I also would like to know how to ray cast floors and ceilings too in case I make a destruction derby type game in the future :) Also, a MAJOR holdup is that my artistic ability is lower than that of a squirrel's male anatomy. (trying to be humorous but not TOO vulgar) :) Anybody care to make some wall textures or some sprites like lamps, gates, etc? Also, I don't think my book told me how to ray cast with partially transparent images, like doors or gates and stuff. I'm not a beginner programmer, I consider myself to be intermediate, but I have just recently gotten into game programming. I thank you in advance if you can offer any tips or advice...if you want to help me with this you can E-Mail me at admcs AT megsinet DOT net Thanx
