Did you look at section 17.1 of the DJGPP FAQ list?  It includes an
explanation of the differences between the syntax accepted by Gas and
that of Masm/Tasm.

The latest release of the FAQ is available as v2/faq210b.zip from the
same place you get DJGPP.
