Message-ID: Date: Thu, 20 Mar 1997 02:41:25 GMT Lines: 31 To: djgpp AT delorie DOT com DJ-Gateway: from newsgroup comp.os.msdos.djgpp Using DJGPP 2.01 in a DOS session under Win/Lose-95, I'm getting an error message from ar whenever I try to make a library, no matter what files or how many files I put in it: ar -rcv libfoo.a foo.o bar.o ar: libfoo.a: Illegal operation and it leaves a file named: STAAAAAA in the directory. If I just rename that file to be the libfoo.a that I originally wanted I can successfully link programs against that library. Same problem trying ranlib (which I understand is just another way to run ar). Suggestions? Thanks!
