The setup: I have a program which produces output for several different types of printers, including postscript, except for mine. Good feature is availability of redirecting output to file, neat. Closest I'm familar with would happen to be a 24 pin generic epson driver, ok, select that. Now, the problem, convert this file into something my (ancient) 8 pin will understand. After much fiddling around, I've determine the graphics package lengths and have so far managed to produce some type of output that almost resembles the original. Now for the kicker question, I'm currently recomposing the 24 pin output into three equal 'strings' in sequence, ie first byte to first string, second byte to second string, third byte to third string, fourth byte to first string. How, or rather, in what order should I be printing these strings? Promise Keepers, for mature people only .
