I was most concerned by the change (in the library functions spawnXX ), because it stopped me using redir to save the output of gcc: redir -e junk gcc *.c -Wall no longer worked. In fact I was reduced to using Crtl-S/Crtl-Q (and switching off my disk cache so it went slowly enough). As to problems using redir with non-GNU programs - how many people use redir with these programs anyway? Would it be that much of a problem if it assumed the command target was djgpp-compiled ?
