I know this is off topic but it's kinda urgent. I installed : something called DILINUX, drop-in linux. Works fine, boots from a dos : partition. But today after starting my computer I got a "memory test : fail" message. The computer tests memory as usual, then prints a message : about the plug-n-play bios, then this message. : Is there any possibillity a program could damage physical memory? No. My guess is that DILINUX has managed to change the BIOS settings of memory refreshment, wait states, or some such. You should run BIOS setup and check the memory settings. -- Esa Peuha student of mathematics at the University of Helsinki http://www.helsinki.fi/~peuha/
