For price and features, it is the best : editor I've ever seen. However, I'm starting to miss syntax : highlighting. : Does anyone out there have a favorite editor which is designed for : DOS or Windows, with syntax highlighting along with all the other : features : of a good programmer's editor? Oh yeah, the tough part: It's gotta be : free. Given that my current editor is freeware, I'm not likely to pay to : make a lateral change... I suggest you figure out emacs - it's hard going at first, but it is a very powerful editor. Whatever you want it to do, it can do it. I no longer write my programs in PFE because Windows screws with the timing of my programs. At present I'm deciding between RHIDE (which has a familiar interface) and emacs (which I can use in Linux too). I think emacs is winning at the moment, though... -- George Foot Merton College, Oxford.
