I can't get emacs to run. I'm running Windows 95 with numeric trails disabled. It says in INSTALL to look for the NT directory to find information about installing under win95 but there's no such directory. I've read the PROBLEMS and other files which come with emacs, as well as searched the list archives but I could not find an answer. I can't configure it fot MSDOG either. When I type CONFIG MSDOS it says it could not find the .GDBINIT file. I couldn't find this file, or anything like *GDBINIT* anywhere on the disc or zip files. Hacking the config file did not help. When I try to run emacs.exe it reads the disc for a couple of seconds and then drops back to the command line whithout writing anything to the screen. The same thing happens under plain DOS. Below is a list of the DHGPP files I've installed: em1934b.zip em1934r1.zip em1934r2.zip em1934r3.zip bnu27b.zip csdpmi3b.zip djdev201.zip fil313b.zip gcc2721b.zip gdb416b.zip grep20b.zip mak375b.zip sed118b.zip Do I still need do get something? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cristovao Braga - cbraga AT datasoft DOT com DOT br
