Until now I have just lurked on this newsgroup, but when I read the post from Mr. Derbyshire I felt compelled to reply. I have used Allegro and DJGPP on and off for several years now, and as every programmer know one somtimes stumbles across problems. But I would NEVER post something as abusive and angry as this. In my book both Shawn and the whole DJGPP community are doing a hell of a job to give us exellent products. If you're not satisfied with Allegro go write your own libraries in your own spare time. You really owe Shawn an apology. Sincerly Asle P.S Shawn: Allegro is a pleasure to use. I just downloaded v2.2 and I can hardly wait to take a look at it. I think it is a safe bet to say that most people in this group stand behind you in this case.
