In-Reply-To: Message-Id: Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII content-length: 1637 Hello, I would like to report a similar problem. I wasn't sure if it was a bug or not -- I thought it was a weird setup of my system. (Btw, I'm not the guy who wrote the orginal post :)). I have a Pro Audio Specture 16 sound card. I use soundblaster env var of A220 Dma 1 IRQ 5 and T 3 It works when I do it from DOS, but as soon as I go into Windows 95 and play a .wav file and exit back to DOS and try playign a sample, it doesn't play. WHen I use the setup program that came with my PAS card to test to see if a .wav file plays, it works fine. -> Does the problem happen if you only use the MIDI sound, or only the -> digital sound, or can either cause it? Oh..and.. the MIDI's are not effected. It's only the samples..they don't play after I exit from Windows 95. -> Does the same thing happen with any Allegro programs (demo.exe, -> play.exe, etc), or do the effects differ depending on which program you -> ran? It happens on all the program that uses the code for playign samples..at least for me. -> Are you running under win95, or clean DOS? If I run the program under windows 95 in dos shell, there is no problem. It's only when I boot to DOS, load the PAS sound drivers (in my autoexec), go to windows, exit windows and try to play the sample with allegro.
