On the other hand, it takes patience to learn C/C++ at all. I used Turbo Pascal for a few years a while back, and I can honestly say that I like gcc a LOT better. Anyways, it's free, so if you don't like it, no loss. VC/++ on the other hand, could burn your wallet quite a bit, which is not a good thing if you end up not liking it. So I guess I would suggest trying gcc for a month or two first. Be sure to refer to this mailing list/newsgroup often, and you'll get answers to just about every question you have. (I've never had one of my questions unanswered on this list). ...Chambers
