THis is not an error, but the compilers very kind way of telling you to learn to read your C textbooks carefully! if you do not include the header file which has the printf prototype, the compiler assumes int printf(int); and informs you about the fact that this may result in servere errors. for the rest of your questions I recommend you to read the FAQ available at the same place where you got the compiler package.
