How can this be fixed? : This problem has been reported from time to time, but I've never been : able to reproduce it on any machines I have access to, so I really don't : know what to suggest. Perhaps Christian is running the win95 dosbox as a window instead of a fullscreen win95 dos session (which is different from an exclusive dis session (ie. one where windows95 isn't running in the background)). I've noticed that graphically intense programs don't run well when the dosbox is just a window, but when you change to fullscreen mode, the program runs almost as smoothly as it would do under an exclusive dos session (sometimes, the smoothness is the same). AE. PS. If you're constantly being plagued by Allegro programs asking if they want to be run from a full dos session, then go to the .EXE of the program, right-click on it, and select it's properties. Under the 'program' tab, select the "Advanced" button and then remove the tick from the "Suggest MS-DOS mode as necessary". To ensure your program always runs in full screen mode, select the 'Screen' tab and select the "full screen" radio button in the usage section. Starting Allegro programs should be a much happier experience. -- Andrei Ellman -- URL: http://www.xs4all.nl/~ellman/ae-a -- ae1 AT york DOT ac DOT uk "All I wanna do is have some fun :-) || ae-a AT minster DOT york DOT ac DOT uk I've got the feeling I'm not the only one" || mailto:ellman AT xs4all DOT nl -- Sheryl Crow :-) || It's what you make of it.
