I thank both of you for your patience with me, I've barely begun to crack
open the DJGPP stuff, Matter of fact, I haven't even written the classic
'Hello World!' program.  I've examined djtar, and found it a little 'slow'
because of the extra overhead in loading, but slightly faster in
extracting the file I want.  The main problem I still have is that I'm
decoding HTML using a rude and crude, (well, not so rude and a little more
refined), QBasic program.  Initially I was just looking for "<a href", but
now I've got it parsing out tables with duplicate information, generating
cross references, and a few others.  So the extra speed of djtar doesn't
matter because of the slowness of the qb program!  (interperted)  Overall,
I save 10 seconds per section of the tutorial, total 10 sections.
