Only then will the long filenames work. This is probably a bug, because it should work as you expected at first. I'm running under W95 but NOT using the LFN in general and so I didn't test it probably enough. RHIDE does when seeing this switch simply a 'putenv("LFN=y")' and this maybe not enough to enable LFN when it was disabled before.
