In general, it is worthwhile to search the archives (and the FAQ) before
posting, because many questions have already been answered.  Not only 
will you have your answers faster, but you also will make sure you know 
everything that was said on this subject (people tend to bypass too many 
gory details when they answer the same question more than once).
